Privacy Policy
Frameroll (“the App”, formerly Simple Gallery) shows the photos on your iPhone one day at a time. This policy explains what the App accesses and what, if anything, leaves your device.
In short
- No account, no ads, no analytics, no tracking.
- Your photos and videos never leave your iPhone because of the App.
- The developer does not collect any data from the App and runs no servers for it.
Photos
The App asks for access to your photo library so it can show, organize, favorite, share and delete your photos and videos, and save the posts and cards you make. Everything it works out from your photos (the days, places, trips, Rewind and which photos show things like sky or friends) is computed on your iPhone using Apple’s frameworks, and stays there.
Place names
The App reads the location saved in your photos to group days by place. To show a place’s name (for example “Lisbon”), it asks Apple’s geocoding service for the name of one rounded location per place. No photos, dates or other details are sent with it. This request is handled by Apple under Apple’s privacy policy. Photos without a saved location are never used for this.
Your day lines, settings and widget
Lines you write for a day, your settings, and the photo shown on the Home Screen widget are stored only on your iPhone, in the App’s own storage. Deleting the App deletes them.
Notifications
If you turn on the optional evening reminder, the App schedules a local notification on your iPhone. Nothing is sent to a server.
Sharing
When you share a photo, a contact sheet, a post or a Rewind card, it goes only where you choose in the iOS share sheet.
Permissions
- Photos: to show and manage your library and save what you make.
- Notifications (optional): only for the evening reminder, if you turn it on.
Children’s privacy
The App does not collect personal information from anyone, including children.
Changes
If this policy changes, the “Last updated” date at the top will change too.
